Training Workshop on Commercial Fish Farming: Re Circulating Aquaculture System

Aquaculture is one of the fastest growing industry in the world which to date invites a number of countries to focus on aquaculture as a way of generating income. Basing on this fact, the Economic and Social Research Foundation (ESRF) with the support from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) are organizing a three day Training Workshop on commercial fish farming to be held in Dar es Salaam between December 15th - 17th, 2016.

The Training Workshop aims at promoting sustainable commercial Aquaculture in the country. Participants will benefit from South African experience in;

-Commercial Aquaculture systems as an investment opportunity,
-Successful engagement into commercial aquaculture,
-Fingerings, feeds and stock management,
-Marketing and economic issues,
-RAS as a solution to urban farming.

The training will be conducted by an expert from the Republic of South Africa who has been practicing commercial fish farming for a number of years. Fish farmers, serious local investors and businessmen/women interested in commercial fish farming are eligible to attend. Women and youths with the above credentials are highly encouraged to apply.

The number of participants is limited. Please apply to participate before 09th, December 2016 by completing the form available here

The training cost is covered, however, participants are requested to meet cost for their transport, upkeep and other costs.
